In historical dramas, various props are used for backgrounds. Mr.Tajima is a craftsman, who writes signs and boards for historical dramas. All the kanji characters you see in modern or historical dramas are written by him. He can write kanji suitable for any background of any historical period.
We use refer materials when we write old kanji in historical dramas. Because they are not in use anymore and cannot be read, we recreate them from real materials from old artists.
